Tecnostoria
Welcome to Tecnostoria
The Region of Emilia-Romagna and the Universities of Modena & Reggio Emilia, Bologna, Ferrara, and Parma welcome you to Tecnostoria, part of a larger project Terra di Motori (World of Motoring). Terra di Motori is an Inter-Regional Project sponsored by the Ministry of Productive Activities of Italy, and led by the Region of Emilia- Romagna.
Emilia-Romagna is a 'land of engines and vehicles', some of the most beautiful and famous vintage motorcars and motorcycles in the world, road and racing, were created here.
Many important chapters in the history of the development of the motorcar and the motorcycle were written here, and the contribution to the history and development continues even now.
Tecnostoria has been established to conserve the treasure of technological and cultural knowledge, and memories, of the relevant companies and people involved in the development of important motorcars and motorcycles of the region. Tecnostoria is a tribute to the men and women of this region who conceived, designed, and developed motorcars and motorcycles in the last century, so that their names and contributions to the world history of the development of engines and vehicles is not lost or forgotten.
Tecnostoria contains documents, literature references, and personal accounts on the history and development of engines and vehicles. The material (drawings, photographs, interviews etc.) accessible in the collection is original and unpublished. The project committee gratefully acknowledge the generosity of the material owners for allowing the material to be reproduced.
Tecnostoria is a large ongoing project that will be continuously updated, so please come back regularly for the latest additions.
Thank you for visiting the site, we hope you find it interesting and enjoyable.
